The fabric used for these shirts is called “Lawn” - named after Laon, France - where it was first conceived. Yarn-dyed and woven in Japan, this 100% Pima cotton fabric is extremely lightweight, soft, and breathable. It has an excellent drape, and gives an airy feel without being sheer and retaining its strength for repeated wash and wear. It’s a great choice for warmer days, and layers well under sweaters for cooler days. We love wearing these all year long. Three flavors are available:![]()

Melissa’s unique “flocking” process creates a durable velvet-like coating on the standard Melissa rubber that we all know and love. Add a serious dash of elegance to your Fall looks with these gorgeous new styles! And no worries if it rains or snows - flocked Melissas are just as waterproof and hardy as their smooth rubber sisters.

But since there’s still a few weeks of Summer remaining, let’s ease into it with two easy choices: a blue Japanese lightweight chambray and a gorgeous pink and blue tattersall French Cuff. A little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. ![]()

Around these parts, we love a subtly rounded club collar when it’s matched to a textured, casual fabric. As Gitman Vintage offers some of the most interesting cotton oxford and chambray cloth around, we did three special makeups for Fall with their handsome slim club collar.

Our good friend and “Real Housewife of New York” Alex McCord was kind enough to laud us as her “perfect shop.” She’s pictured in front with her two handsome boys - Francois and Johan. You can read all about at Pink Memo. Alex and her family have been great supporters of our shop since we opened back in the Summer of ‘08, and it’s always a pleasure to see them!
